Silicon Valley has been my home for many years. Here I have enjoyed a very engaging career in technical writing. I started in editing, moved to writing, and eventually led and built award winning technical publishing teams. I am a member of the
Bay Area Publications Managers Forum, the Society for Technical Communication (STC),
and the IEEE/Professional Communication Society.
I am also a professional, non Union narrator. Here is my voice demo.
I have enjoyed singing with Cisco Singers, Sweet Adelines, and San Jose Civic Light Opera.
I have narrated 50 books for Books Aloud--a FREE audio lending library for blind and disabled listeners.
I like old things--for example, I am a member of the Preservation Action Council of San Jose and History San Jose--
groups striving to save San Jose's heritage and historic buildings. My interest in local history led to me giving tours of haunted sites in San Jose, California.
I have produced two short movies that appeared on YouTube--Shamrock! and Cat's in the Cradle,
done with the wonderful help of Martin November.
